Excellent realtor navigating a sight unseen move . I can’t recommend Christine enough! Buying a house from across the country could have been incredibly stressful, but she made the entire process feel easy. I was living in California and buying a home in the Hampton Roads area completely sight unseen, so I had to rely heavily on her knowledge, judgment, and willingness to go the extra mile. Christine spent significant time on video calls with me, walking through homes and pointing out details I never would have noticed from the listings alone. She also drove around different neighborhoods and areas so I could get a real feel for what it would be like to live there. When it came time to make an offer, she was an excellent negotiator and helped me get a fantastic deal on my home. When Christine went on vacation, she ensured her colleague Melissa stepped in seamlessly, taking me on virtual tours and driving around to look at additional properties so my home search never missed a beat. Despite being on vacation, Christine was super responsive and quickly answered any questions I had. Buying a house 3,000 miles away, in a different time zone, without ever seeing it in person requires a lot of trust, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team. We had a wonderful experience working with Brianna Bates to purchase our beautiful beach house in Hampton, VA, overlooking the ocean. Sabrina has been very involved throughout the entire process of our home buying——-she went above and beyond at several crucial points. She stepped in to secure additional moneys for us for repairs even when we were waffling and didn’t think we could ask. She had also written into the initial offer much more than we would have thought to ask and certainly more than we would have believed we could be given——and the offer was accepted. During the final walkthrough wall damage was found and she reached out to the other realtor to seek a remedy——he patched the hole. She made several things right. She also kept us wonderfully appraised of what was going on, supplying us the information as to where we were in the closing process. She was quick to answer all our questions and helped supply us with contacts for future work to be done. She did a great job with us and I feel confident she would do the same for anyone who retains her.

Brianna was so wonderful to work with. She is very knowledgeable when it comes to VA loans and was very patient with my work schedule. She really took care of me and never did I feel like she was pressuring me into a purchase that could be too much or not something I truly want. She is very transparent when touring homes and will make sure it’s something you love. She helped connect me to different contractors to really make the moving process as easy as possible. She’s great if you are military or civilian alike. Highly recommend her.

Best agent experience for both buying and selling. We found Christine when our out of state realtor called around and interviewed local realtors for our move here to VA. Christine is who she found to be a very good, knowledgeable real estate agent who impressed our selling agent (also a good friend) in another state. We worked with Christine to purchase our home here and it was such an easy process. I knew immediately we would work so well together and she made the process not only easy but fun. She found our dream home, here in Chesapeake VA in one weekend. Now, 3 years later, it is bitter sweet, but have to sell and move to another state for a work promotion. I went immediately to Christine with about a weeks notice to have my home put back on the market. With her guidance, experience and experience, our home sold within a few hours of going live on the market. Not only is she the best real estate agent to work with. She also became a friend and then like family! If and when we come back to the area I will only choose to work with Christine. She is amazing! Would recommend 1000 times over. Christine is incredibly knowledgeable for someone moving to the area and she is willing to go the extra mile to make sure that you are 100% satisfied. My only regret is not taking some of her advice sooner, because it’s like she personality matched us with the perfect place. I cannot thank Christine enough for being apart of this journey. For PCS or remote buying, she made the process as painless as possible and she is also THOROUGH! One other thing I really want to compliment her on is resources. We are a little late writing this review, but Dawn and Christine with the Keller Williams team was AMAZING and we appreciate all of their effort in helping us find a new property. Covid makes a lot of things challenging, but Dawn (our primary agent) was always accessible and extremely flexible. A friend who is a realtor across the country recommended Christine to us, and we're so glad she did! We planned to interview a second realtor but after meeting Christine and doing a walkthrough of our house we were convinced she would do great, so we looked no farther. Christine set us up with a staging professional and photographers, looked over our "to-do" fix-up list and advised a few key things to add and helped us prioritize the sequence of getting those things done. She assured us she would only allow viewings to qualified buyers - sparing us the trouble of window shoppers. As we were approaching the listing date businesses started locking down due to COVID-19. Christine stuck with us and helped us navigate the complications this caused. Once the house was prepped and she listed it, we had a viewing the next day, and the day after that we had an offer. Christine helped us with a quick negotiation and we signed an agreement the same day. We initially tried selling by owner, but following Christine's advice after all the expenses we still ended up netting about 50% more sale proceeds than we were aiming to clear when selling on our own. She also helped us find a contractor to address the punchlist of fixes generated by the home inspections and VA appraiser so closing stayed on track, even with the buyer accelerating the closing date by 9 days. Closing was also a breeze. We were able to sign our papers in advance before we left town, and on closing day and the day following we were able to sign the final documents electronically from our new home hundreds of miles away. Christine kept us informed and provided solid advice throughout the process, responded quickly to our many questions, and helped keep all the wheels rolling in the right direction. We genuinely felt that she loved our old house just about as much as we did, and we could not be more happy with the work she did getting our house in the hands of a new family.

Christine was very knowledgeable about the local market, and the area, she even provided information on future planned developments near one of the properties we visited. Given our preferences, she gave us neighborhoods and areas where we should focus our search, and provided us with an online filtered list of properties matching our criteria. We had no trouble scheduling times to see homes. We would let Christine know which properties we were interested in seeing with a few days advance notice and everything would be all set. They also handled the scheduling for visiting "for sale by owner" properties. When it came time to make an offer, Christine provided us with information on a comparable property and gave us her input on the offer. We were able to handle almost all the paperwork online with digital signatures, and Kristen was very fast in making any changes that were needed to the documents. Once we decided to make an offer, the whole process was very quick and straightforward, and Christine kept us informed through the whole thing. We are very happy with our new home and appreciate Christine and Kristen's assistance throughout the process.

Although we did manage to sell our house, working with Christine Cahoon was NOT a pleasant experience. I should have listened to the one star review below but an acquaintance said she was a good agent. The description she provided for the online listing didn’t even describe house. It was basically a one-liner. She does things her way or she doesn’t cooperate. I found her to be quite the bully when she needed information from you but when you need information from her she took her sweet time and sometimes didn’t respond at all. She is also pushy about using “her people” for supporting services. She has no attention to detail. We had to point out mistakes in the documents many times. It was dizzying, all the back and forth with the dotloop site for signing paperwork. She didn’t keep track of information sent to her and we had to resend it. Anything we weren’t pleased with, she blamed on her assistants. In the end we got a low price and Christine made the process of repairs more complicated. Never Again. It was clear to me that Christine Cahoon looks out for her own interests and no one else’s.
